Our popular Bagels & Books Brunch returns to The Ora with special guests Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper, fourth-generation owners of the legendary Russ & Daughters.

Join us for a memorable morning as Niki and Josh discuss their acclaimed cookbook and share the remarkable story behind one of New York City's most beloved family businesses. For more than 111 years, Russ & Daughters has been a cultural and culinary landmark, preserving Jewish food traditions while helping shape the city's rich history.

Founded by Joel Russ after immigrating from Strzyżów (now in Poland), the business became a trailblazer in 1935 when Joel made his three daughters full partners—an uncommon milestone at the time—and renamed the shop Russ & Daughters. Today, cousins Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper proudly carry the family legacy into its fourth generation.

Of course, no Bagels & Books event would be complete without brunch! Enjoy a delicious spread catered by Russ & Daughters while hearing stories of family, food, tradition, and entrepreneurship.
